Standards & Templates
iSynth provides unified dataset-description standards and field-entry rules for general organic, photochemical, electrochemical, and combined-modality synthesis data. Required, conditionally required, and recommended fields, plus structured templates, field descriptions, and examples, help researchers prepare submissions that are consistent, reviewable, and ready for machine-learning workflows.
Template Design Principles
1Core Template with Modality-Specific Extensions
Start with general organic synthesis fields, then add photochemical, electrochemical, or combined photo-electro fields when needed.
2Field Tiers and Priorities
Use required, conditionally required, and recommended tiers to make entry priorities clear.
3Task-Driven Field Coverage
Covers core task fields such as yield, conditions, and selectivity.
Template Entry Guidelines
1Complete Required Fields First
Fill required fields first; complete conditionally required fields whenever their documented conditions apply, then add recommended fields as needed.
2Keep Multi-Value Fields Aligned
Separate multi-value fields with semicolons and keep names, amounts, and units in the same order.
3Use Consistent Terminology
Prefer recommended enumeration values; for open lists, use a convention-compliant custom value when the actual value is not listed, and leave non-applicable recommended fields blank.
